Retro Blaster is a fast arcade shooter inspired by classic 80s space games. The action never pauses. The ship never stops moving. Survival depends on steering control, spacing, and reacting quickly as the screen fills with enemies and projectiles.
The moment a round starts, your ship begins moving forward. It does not stop unless you slow it down yourself. You are constantly steering through enemies, debris, and bullets while your weapon fires automatically.
Because shooting is handled for you, the real challenge is movement control. Turning too hard can send you drifting into danger. Boosting at the wrong time can trap you between enemies. Good runs come from steady control, not panic.
The screen fills up quickly. Early waves feel manageable, but within minutes the space becomes tight. Enemies approach from different angles, and obstacles force you to adjust your path constantly.
Speed can help you get out of trouble, but it can also cause mistakes. Using boost at the right moment might save you from being surrounded. Using it carelessly can send you straight into an enemy or obstacle. Sometimes slowing down gives you better control and more time to react.
During a run, you’ll find temporary upgrades:
Spread shots for wider coverage
Lasers for direct damage
Homing shots
Shields for protection
Bombs to clear crowded areas
Bombs are best saved for moments when movement space disappears.
Coins collected during gameplay can unlock new ships. Some are faster, some handle better, and others offer stronger defense.
A / Left Arrow – Turn left
D / Right Arrow – Turn right
W / Up Arrow – Boost
S / Down Arrow – Reverse
Shift – Brake
Space / Click – Fire
B – Bomb
Don’t hold boost constantly. Control matters more than speed.
Make small turns instead of sharp swings.
Keep moving in open areas instead of hugging walls.
Save bombs for crowded moments, not early waves.
Retro Blaster rewards calm movement and steady control. The longer you survive, the more intense it becomes, turning every run into a test of focus and reaction.
