A Simple Arcade Game About Stealing the Throne

Murder is a casual arcade puzzle game created by Studio Seufz. The idea is very direct: get behind the king, take him out, and become the new ruler. It only takes a few seconds to understand, but getting the timing right is another story.

Each run is short, but it’s easy to start again right away.

How the Game Actually Plays

Sneaking Up on the King

You begin as the adviser, walking quietly behind the king. To attack, you hold the Space key and wait for the right moment. Let go at the right time, and you succeed.

If you rush or hesitate, the king might turn around. If he catches you, the run ends immediately.

Sitting on the Throne

After a successful attempt, you become the king. Now the situation flips. Another adviser starts sneaking behind you, trying to do the same thing.

You can press Space to look back. If you turn at the right moment, you stop them. If not, your turn as king ends just as quickly.

What It Feels Like

The game builds tension in a simple way. Walking behind the king feels slow and careful. Once you take the throne, the pressure changes. You start checking behind you more often, not knowing exactly when the attack will come.

Most runs only last a short time, so losing never feels frustrating.
